FAQ

Couples Counseling Online With Dr. Dahlia Mann
Looking forward to working with you,
Dr. Dahlia Mann

Can you help me save my marriage?

Couples who are both motivated to work together and resolve the hurts and misunderstandings can create a fulfilling relationship.

Together we will work on building new skills. I will give you feedback, insight and help change negative communication patterns. In counseling you will learn to argue constructively, resolve ongoing hurts, resentments and conflicts, and come up with solutions.

We will keep in mind that even during this working process time for fun and romance is important to restore the closeness in creating a healthy, fulfilling loving relationship.

When will our relationship start to improve?

Couples counseling with Dr. Mann is not open-ended. At our initial consultation we identify your specific needs and goals.

Usually, after just one or two sessions you will have tools that you can use to realize immediate improvements in your relationship.

How long will couples counseling require?

At the first meeting, when we define goals, we will also discuss how often to meet. After four to six sessions, you will evaluate progress with Dr. Mann and assess the next steps.

Generally a couple needs to consider 10-12 sessions. Sometimes couples need more sessions to resolve long standing and complicated feelings and issues.

Can I do counseling online?

Yes. Online appointments are available.

My partner doesn’t want to come to counseling. What can I do?

Make the request that it would be helpful for me if he/she comes to counseling. If there is still no agreement, let your spouse know the date and time that you will be going to counseling, or having an online session, and that they are welcome to join.

Showing confidence with your decision that the relationship needs change reduces the blaming and control that can start when only one is ready to acknowledge the problem.

What are your fees? Do you take insurance?

The self-pay rate for a session is $160.

I do take insurance for clients who see me in person. If you have insurance that is out of network, I can provide you with documentation that you can present to your insurance company for reimbursement.

Will you adapt counseling to our needs?

Dr. Mann will work with you to understand your needs and tailor a results-oriented couples counseling program that fits your circumstances.

Will counseling drag on and on?

Dr. Mann’s solution focused approach facilitates positive changes for you and your partner in a timely fashion. You can expect to learn and improve communication skills, and to gain a better understanding of yourself and of each other. Tangible benefits that develop from counseling can include enjoying spending time together and even learning to have fun when you disagree and argue.
